EverTechnology Meeting Services is now in its 20th year of business. The company started in May 1987 as Quickopy Audio Recording Services, a one-man operation run out of a two-bedroom unit in Brisbane. The business initially specialised in recording conferences and seminars. Audio cassette recordings were made on the spot, and available to delegates within minutes of completion of the session.

Trading as Audio Partners, the business added additional services, including audio production and duplication more tailored to the corporate market. In a bid to improve the quality of the cassette cases, Audio Partners began to produce its own presentation packaging while its competitors continued to import inferior products.

Increased demand led the introduction of the “loop bin” service in 1994, enabling the firm to reduce the turnaround of corporate cassettes without compromising on quality. Audio Partners continued to improve its products, and was one of the first in Queensland to offer direct printing onto the cassette shell. The company was also quick to launch CD duplication and replication services. It offers both short-run and long-run services, using two different systems suited to meet the clients project requirements and budget.

“We take care of all aspects of the production, including printing on the disk itself, full colour printing on a booklet and full colour printing on the traycard,” says Van Maanen.

Managing Director Ed Van Maanen says his firm was quick to embrace digital technology. “Along with digital media is the ability to create, edit and duplicate in the digital format, adding new dimensions to the services we have provided for more than a decade”, he says.

Van Maanen adopted the EverTechnology name in May 2001 to reflect the broader service offering made possible by digital technology. One of the significant new offerings is web design.

Van Maanen sees the use of web sites as a logical extension of conferences. “With the ability to ensure continuity of the image and themes from the conference, a well designed web page benefits from automatic recognition by delegates, further extending the conference”.

“Because both CD-ROMs and web sites have their unique advantages and disadvantages,” he adds, “we want to offer our clients the solutions to suit their infrastructure, delegate expectation and budget.”

May 2002 heralded the market entrance of EverTechnology Meeting Services. This was the result of selling EverTechnology.

EverTechnology Meeting Services now focuses solely on the meetings market, the roots of how the company was originally built.
